Could your favorite celeb be an extraterrestrial? Imagine if your pop culture hero was actually a holograph-disguised lizard person…sounds too far-fetched? Hold up, we’ve got an episode that might just change your mind! We were thrilled to hang out with our buddy Jonesy, a stand-up comedian and actor from Boston, cracking some jokes while discussing his podcast Weird AF News and the unusual fan mail he’s received. Jonesy’s twist on the world had us laughing and pondering all at once as we navigated through Twilight Zone episodes, love potions, and Swedish death cleaning!

Now the real meat – we ventured into the wild world of conspiracy theories, namely the theory that some celebrities might be lizard people in disguise. It sounds outrageous, we know, but we had an intriguing chat, considering David X’s book, ‘The Biggest Secret’, holographic technology, and the ways to discern a lizard person among us. Moving on, we also examined the phenomenon of alien abductions, discussing the messages they reportedly convey to us and the concept of Tulpa – putting enough energy into a thought to make it come alive.

Lastly, we took a lighter tone and played with the idea of famous people being aliens. We took a humorous spin on Donald Trump’s success and Mark Zuckerberg’s uncanny mannerisms, and we even explored the idea that celebrities could be robots, not aliens. We referenced the Turing test, Terminator movies, and the implausible notion that some professions might be more prone to be robotic in nature.

On December 7, 1941, the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service attacked the U.S. naval base at Pearl Harbor. In response, the U.S. declared war against Japan, thus entering WWII. The U.S. forcibly relocated over 120,000 Japanese Americans into mass incarceration camps, marking the only time in history that innocent U.S. residents and citizens were forcefully incarcerated by the U.S. on the basis of race. The U.S. feared that Japanese Americans were loyal to Japan, making them dangerous to the U.S. However, as the U.S. needed more men for the war, the U.S. turned to Japanese Americans, despite having earlier labeled them as enemies. They even recruited men from the camps. In the 2019 graphic novel, 442, Koji Steven Sakai and Phinneas Kiyomura explore how the racialization of the Japanese enemy led to Japanese Americans being dehumanized and having their lives devalued.

EXCLUSIVE: Lionsgate is launching sales in Cannes on thriller Boneyard, the true crime thriller starring Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Oscar winner Mel Gibson.

Currently in production, the film is based on the true crime events of the serial killer known as the Bone Collector.

In the movie, FBI Special Agent Petrovick (Gibson) is recruited to profile the serial killer responsible for the infamous “boneyard” killings, after Police Chief Carter (Jackson) discovers the remains of eleven women. As the police force, narcotics agency, and FBI lock horns, a tangled web of intrigue turns everyone into a suspect.

Directed by Terry McDonough (Breaking Bad, Killing Eve), the film follows a Chicago police detective who goes to Scotland after an emerging serial killer’s crimes match those that he investigated five years earlier, one of which was the crime scene of his murdered girlfriend. Also starring are Gianni Capaldi, John Hannah and Kate Dickie.

Mel Gibson and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson are toplining Boneyard, an indie crime-thriller that has begun shooting in Las Vegas.

Brian Van Holt, who starred opposite Kate McKinnon in limited series Jo vs. Carole, is also starring in the feature whose cast includes Nora Zehetner (The Right Stuff).

Colin Bates, who produced the Halle Berry thriller Kidnap and the Arnold Schwarzenegger zombie drama Maggie, is producing the hot indie with Vincent McDaniel.

Inspired by true events, Boneyard tells of an FBI special agent, played by Gibson, who along with the Albuquerque police department, is hunting for a serial killer nicknamed The Bone Collector. The chief of police and one of his officers, however, have a contrary view of the manhunt, believing someone in their own department may be the killer.

Jackson is playing the chief while Van Holt plays the officer who is connected to the case through a missing niece.

Asif Akbar (The Commando) is directing the project that has a script by Hank Byrd, Vincent E. McDaniel, Koji Steven Sakai and Akbar.

Flix Financial is co-financing with The Film Post and One Dollar Studios. Randall J. Bacon, Daniel R. Carmona and Dean Scheske serve as executive producers.

Gibson was last seen with Josh Duhamel in indie crime caper flick Bandit and next appears in John Wick spinoff The Continental on Peacock this September.

Rapper-turned-actor-turned-entrepreneur Jackson parlayed his acting in Starz’s crime series Power into a franchise empire, with several spinoffs. Another burgeoning empire is Black Mafia Family, now in production on its third season, and the recently released The BMF docuseries. Earlier this year, he announced a nonexclusive multiproject development deal with Fox. 

Movie-wise, Jackson has appeared in several action thrillers and will next be seen opposite Jason Statham and Sylvester Stallone in Lionsgate’s The Expendables 4.

Gibson is repped by APA and Brecheen Feldman, and 50 Cent is repped by APA and Savva Entertainment.
