⠀HIDEO NOMO left a successful baseball career in Japan without so much as a Major League contract in America. But his success within his first season with the Dodgers opened the door for other Japanese players in the US.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
CHAN HO PARK arrived in Los Angeles from Korea in 1992. His presence on and off the field positioned him as a figure of hope for Korean Americans during a difficult time.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
FERNANDO VALENZUELA known for “the screwball,” credited his signature pitch to East LA native and fellow Dodger, Bobby Castillo. Valenzuela brought together the Latin community over Fernandomania.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
